Event Report
As usual, the day of competition started with the demonstration divisions, which were well represented. The traditional weapons demonstrations both in the senior and junior divisions were incredible to watch and competitors wowed us with their skills in a range of weapons.
It was exciting to see so many students having a go at the point sparring divisions which are continuing to grow steadily! Individual results and photos of the medal recipients for the divisions can be found on our Facebook page,
Thank you to the competitors, officials, table and door staff, coaches and mums and dads for your continued support! A special thank you to all the black belt competitors who helped by competing and officiating on the day – your support made a huge difference to how effectively and quickly we could progress through the day’s competition. This is the perfect example of what true martial arts spirit is all about!
The state championships are scheduled for the 20 August 2023. The entry forms are available from the NAS website. If you would like to officiate or help on the day, please contact me as soon as possible.
