­Saturday 24th October saw the best of the best from around Victoria arrive at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic centre to find out who will take home the title of 2009 State Champion for their respective events.  The day started with a blast as the female and male black belts entertaining the crowd and putting everything on the line to become State Champion.

­Saturday 13th March 2010 saw a great start to the NAS year in Victoria with a lot of competitors fresh from the National Championships and a good long break, it was clear everyone was pumped and ready for 2010.  The days competition kicked off with a bang with the female and male black belt events and for Round 1 it was the return of some old faces that put on the show and got some earlier qualifying points for State Titles.

­Mr. James Casey, Vice President NAS and wife Virginia Casey welcomed everyone to round two where they advised all attending that they will be taking over the management and running of the NAS competition in Victoria.  Their vision is to try hard to rebuild the NAS Victoria back to its old glory days.

38 different martial art schools attended round 3's competition at Carrara Sports Stadium with over 220 competitors from all over Southeast Queensland.  There was a buzz of excitement with teams getting together warming-up, going over strategies with their coaches and over-coming nerves prior to competition.

2009 National All Styles Australian Championships

As 2009 came to a close, martial artists across Australia flocked to Melbourne for the 28th annual National All-Styles Australian Championships at the Sports and Aquatic Centre on 28­–29 November. The 600-plus competitors battled it out to see who could earn themselves the title of Champion of Champions for 2009.
