Finals Pee Wee's point sparring was a nail biter which had mums, dads and coaches sitting on the edge of their seats. Tolomy Liapis Tang Soo Do came up against Connor Prior Shingokan Goju, the match was even throughout the bout with ten seconds to go Tolomy scored with a front kick and was awarded the winning point, runner up Connor Prior. Congratulations boys and girls you all did your clubs proud.

Junior traditional weaponry saw Ethan Crook PVT International, take out the division with a polished katana performance. Demo/creative weapon division had Willem Daniels from Karate Jitsu winning this event

Male black belt open forms competition was taken out by John Brown KUA, out classing his opponents with an explosive kata (form), runner up Daniel Tregenza GKR.

Highlight of the day was the Men's advanced continuous sparring, there was going to be a fierce battle to see who would be this years State champion. Round by round they where eliminated and competitors where warned to control their contact from the centre referee. Jason Couzner a veteran of this event worked his way up through a talented field to fight out the finals against Khanthala Pholsavatory PVT International. Can you tell us what you like about the NAS competition?
Variety. I gained valuable experience as a mid-range belt coming up through the grades by entering in NAS competitions that gave me the opportunity to test my kumite and kata against a wide variety of other styles.

Best moment/memory in competition with the NAS?
Competing in the 2010 NAS Nationals as a 1st Kyu, I was selected for the State vs. State Team Kumite. Every member of our team really stepped it up a notch that day against tough competition from NSW and QLD to win the Cup. Working as a team to succeed is a far better feeling than doing it on your own.

Reverse punch because it's solid, quick and leaves little room for doubt in the eyes of the judges.
