What an amazing year! Especially within the diversity of the clients and User Groups who visited Appin Hall for respite, healing and timeout from the trauma of having a child disadvantaged by serious illness.

A great amount of healing and respite has been enjoyed by a large number of families visiting Appin Hall throughout the year. It is most humbling to witness families being touched by the experiences and reconnection with one another in a peaceful environment.

Premier David Bartlett presented the prestigious Tasmanian Senior Australian of the Year Award to legend Ronnie Burns for his work creating the NAS-sponsored charity Appin Hall Children’s Foundation Respite Centre, which provides refuge for terminally ill, disadvantaged, abused and destitute children and their carers.
